Victor Yates Care Home offers first class nursing care for specialist needs of the elderly.

All accommodation is in single rooms which have been decorated to provide a homely atmosphere; many rooms overlook the extensive grounds.

A therapeutic garden gives residents the opportunity for exercise or the option to just sit and enjoy the fresh air, flowers and shrubs.

The Home has lounges and dining areas for relaxation, watching television or participating in a range of other activities.

Main midday meals are provided by our nearby Hurstway Care Home, with traditional fish and chips from a local shop on Fridays! The catering assistant provides a varied and balanced suppertime menu, with a good choice for residents.

Trips and outings are organised, as well as visits to local places of interest, by the Activities Co-ordinator, who has many years of experience of organising and providing activities.

At Victor Yates Care Home you can expect to receive individual nursing care tailored to meet all your care needs.

A pre-admission assessment will be done prior to admission into the Home, to ensure all needs can be met. On arrival, a detailed individualised plan of care will be created and a family member or advocate will be invited to participate in the care planning process.

All decisions regarding care are made in consultation with the Care Manager/Registered Nurse, the resident, the family and significant others.

To help ensure that we offer a quality care service the Home operates a quality assurance system designed to maintain and improve standards of care.

Regular meetings are held in the Home with residents and relatives to help ensure the continuous improvement of the service offered. If services fall short of expectation a comprehensive complaints procedure is available to ensure that improvements are made.
