Hurstway Care Home offers first class nursing care for specialist needs of the elderly.

The Home also provides care for those suffering from clinical forms of dementia including Alzheimer's disease, those suffering from terminal illness who require palliative care, and those who have an existing congenital disability or who have suffered an accident or illness which has impaired their physical functioning.

The Home has 59 single bedrooms, all maintained to a high standard. To help create a 'home within a home', we encourage residents to personalise their rooms with individual effects.

We make provision for more than our residents medical requirements. We have a fully equipped hair salon with a visiting hairdresser twice weekly. Other visiting professionals include physiotherapists, chiropodists, dentists and opticians.

The Home provides a menu full of choice and variety with an emphasis on 'home cooked foods', also catering for those on special diets.

For those who appreciate the outdoors, Hurstway has extensive gardens with level access for wheelchair users. The Home also has a large heated conservatory, plus decking, which provides a relaxed area to meet friends and relatives.

The Home has many regular entertainers and strong links with the local British Legion. A structured social programme offers numerous outings, and there are opportunities to visit local shops or places of interest. Our aim is to work with residents to promote as full and active a life as possible.

At Hurstway Care Home we offer individual nursing care specific to residents needs, based upon current good practice and clinical guidance.

All decisions regarding care are made in consultation with the Care Manager/Registered Nurse, the resident, the family and significant others.

To help ensure that we offer a quality care service the Home operates a quality assurance system designed to maintain and improve standards of care.
